I'm a new teacher who is looking for great textbooks and websites that will help me to give good lessons. All suggestions welcome. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum. :)

What age are your students? What level are they? How many students do you teach at a time? Were any textbooks or websites suggested when you did your teacher training?

I've got quite an unconventional answer to that. I haven't taught in ten years so I'm going to start by giving free one to one lessons to beginners and intermediates. I would like to have 5 hours of material for both levels. However, I do plan to get back into the classroom through this strategy, so any and all resources are welcome here. My hope is that all teachers can read this thread and get/contribute something useful. Cheers!

English Banana has good free resources for most levels.
The most commonly recommended textbooks by teachers here are:
English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy
Practical English Usage by Michael Swan

Also have a look at our sub-forum "UsingEnglish.com Content". There's lots of useful info and lessons in there.

I did say all suggestions are welcome but I was hoping for comprehensive lesson plans and textbooks that I could sit down with the student and guide them through

But thanks for English Banana. It's exactly what I'm looking for

As you're an English teacher, it's important that everything you post on the forum is correct. Please remember to use closing punctuation.
