What I mean is can the word 'quality' be used with reference to people? This sentence would be fine, I believe. The sentence I posted earlier does not include the word 'word'. Hence, I wonder if it is correctly phrased.

It is not clear, however, exactly what you mean. It would be clearer if you could be more precise as in, for example:

Can we speak of 'quality' people?
Can a person be said to have a 'quality'?
