Discussion questions to practice accommodation vocabulary

 

Student A

Working with someone with the Student B sheet, take turns asking and answering questions from your sheets. Make sure that you give reasons for your answers, and ask follow-up questions like “What makes you say that?” if your partner gives very short answers.

  1. What is your favourite place in your present home?
  1. Is there anything traditional about your accommodation?
  1. What do you most like about your present home?
  1. What would you like to change about your current home?
  1. What there anything that you didn’t like about the home or homes you grew up in?
  1. Is the appearance of where you live important to you?
  1. When do you think you might move house?
  1. What is most of the housing like in your hometown?
  1. What kind of accommodation do you usually stay in on vacation?
  1. Would you describe yourself as houseproud?
  1. What do you think about old traditional houses in your country?
  1. Do you think your government is doing enough to make sure housing is affordable?
  1. What kind of home do you think is best for most young families?
  1. If you were to share a house, what house rules would you want?

  1. If you were to lend or rent your home to someone, what would you tell them about it?
