Instructions for teachers

Cut up one pack of cards per group of two to four students. Each group spreads their pack of cards across the table and matches up pairs of words with similar meanings. When they have nearly finished, elicit that each pair has one word that is countable and one that is uncountable, and ask students to divide the pairs into those groups and use them to help them check their answers. Give out extra copies of the worksheet for them to check their answers with. They can then play a game of pelmanism with the same cards for practice.
