The bold sentence "He is a teacher" is a grammatical. (Punctuation question)

He is a teacher.

1. The bold sentence "He is a teacher" is grammatical.
2. The bold sentence, "He is a teacher", is grammatical.
3. The bold "He is a teacher" sentence is grammatical.


I'm trying to improve my English writing. Which is incorrect?
 
The second, though some may do away with the commas in a short sentence like that.
 
It seems to me that 1 is also acceptable. What do you say?
 
All are correct. The first and second sentences are your personal preference. Do you like commas or not? I would choose sentence 2, but my wife would choose sentence 1. The third sentence is also correct, but not as well written. In the third sentence, you are using the entire phrase "He is a teacher" as an adjective to describe the word "sentence", but it's not a good idea to make long phrases into adjectives. It makes the sentence less clear for the reader. If you are going to turn phrases into adjectives, I suggest limiting it to two or three words max.
