We will be undertaking essential maintenance on the forum this weekend. This is to perform a software migration to a new, more modern software platform.

As a result, the forum will be unavailable for long periods during Friday, Saturday, and perhaps Sunday too.

Once complete, your existing username and password will still work and you should be able to log in as usual. All of your posts and private messages etc will be retained.

Since our current software is quite out of date, we expect many of the new features available will greatly enhance your experience here!

More news about the migration will follow nearer the time.

Thanks!

Let's modernise. ;-)

Hi all,

The migration is now being started.

Our forums will remain closed until it's fully complete.

We expect things to be back up and running soon. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

:)

The main upgrade is now complete and the new forum is live.

We're still checking that things are working, so if you find anything unexpected, please do post in the support area:

Thanks! :-D

So far, it's all working for me.

Looking good so far! Thanks for all the updates.

Looks all good to me.

I can log in with my email address but not with my username, probus. Sometimes when I try to post I am asked for info that is in my profile such as user type.

How do I find new posts

Everything looks different.

A bunch of changes.

How do I find new posts

Two ways- If you Have the main forum page open, there's a link below the word forum a little to the left to New Posts. It is also at the top of the list if you click on What's New

Have you told Red5 this?

If you click on What's New, you get a list that includes your latest posts.

The little symbol that used to take us to the last post in a thread seems to have vanished, but I have discovered that if you click on the time (e.g. 27 minutes ago) above the name of the member who submitted the last post, this does the same job.

How do I edit my posts?
There should be an edit button in the line along the bottom under your post. It's possible that I can see that only because I'm a mod and mods can edit any post. However, I think this new platform supports in-line editing so just try putting the cursor in your own post and see if you can change anything. If not, Red5, or any non-mod member who's been able to do it, will be able to tell you!

How do I quote a previous member’s post in my new post? I don’t know which icon to select.

Just click the reply button on the bottom right of the post you're replying to ;-)
