Hello, I've stumbled upon the following sentence from "Cheap Talk" by Joseph Farell and Matthew Rabin:

"Moreover, in pure coordination games, cheap talk yields more efficient coordination than do Schelling-style focal points. "

I would like to ask if the "do" there is correct and why. I would put it it at the end instead: " ... than Schelling-style focal points do".

Thank you for your time.

Your version is OK, but the original is fine as written. It's using a type of subject-verb inversion that's common in fairly elevated styles.

I see. Could you perhaps tell me where I could find more information on this particular type of inversion?

I couldn't find any after a brief search. Hopefully a more knowledgeable forum member will chime in with that information.
