There are some curtains at the windows.
Is the preposition "at" correct?

Thank you

I would probably say 'on.' (AmE)

You will also hear "in" in BrE.

I have curtains up in two of my windows and blinds in the other three.

Hello.

It's pretty strange that in AmE we can hear "on" whilst "at" and "in" we can hear in BrE.

So, my question is:
If I write a letter (my exam) and I want to use sentence like that, what should I use exactly?

Anyway, I'd say "I have beautiful certains in my window". But my question is quit interesting.

That sounds very strange to me, a speaker of BrE.
No more so than "at the window" sounds strange to us.
