what does this sentence mean? specifically the phrase of corking the widow.

I suppose you should have been billing him that way all along, if this is where he's been corking the widow.

Always tell us the source of text you quote. You should know this by now.

I've never before met the phrase "corking the widow" and even Google doesn't seem to know what it means. However, I suspect it is obscene and you should avoid it.

Come on, Truth4vahid! Take more care with your posts. Not only should you know by now that you must quote your source, but also that every sentence must start with a capital letter. I've never heard it before but, like probus, I suspect it's rude.

It sounds like a friendly widow to me.

Not a teacher.

Perhaps it means to open a bottle of Veuve (widow) Clicquot champagne.

Nope. That would be uncorking the widow. Anyway neither corking nor uncorking makes any sense to me.

Truth4vahid: you must provide the source of material you quote or there will be consequences.

Wouldn't that be uncorking?

Truth4vahid, you have now had four days to provide the source and author and have not done so. Thread closed. Any future posts that don't include the source and author will be deleted.
