Yesterday at 9 my mom was cleaning the room and my brother was playing some computer games. When/At the same time I was watching the TV, the phone rang. I told my mom I'd answer it. As I picked it up I heard someone who was shouting at me. I wonder who might be that person. I thought he must have mistaken.

I would make too many changes to edit the post as I normally do. However, here is what I would write:

At 9am yesterday, while my mum was cleaning the [name of room], my brother was playing a computer game and I was watching TV, the phone rang. When I picked it up, someone shouted at me. I had no idea who it was and thought they must have dialled the wrong number.

Apparently, the British pick it up, but Americans answer the phone.
