Hi,

Few natural elements exist in ..... that they are rarely seen in their natural environments.

For the gap, which one is suitable?

- very small quantities or such small quantities. I think the former would be suitable if "that" were not in the sentence. Am I right? But in that situation, the later would be correct.

Thank you in advance.

Where did you find that sentence, oksuz?

I took it from a test. I am trying to understand what would be the meaning of the sentence with and without "that". And how is related to "small" and "very".

Who published the test? Are you sure it shouldn't be "A few natural elements..."?

The answer is (a) "such small quantities."
