Doesn't the fact that two native speakers, both experienced teachers, find nothing wrong with B cause you any doubt?

What you and teechar are saying is that since B is 'possible', the test is therefore invalid. We all agree that answer B yields a sentence that is grammatical, natural, and makes sense. Did I not make that clear? We're arguing whether the test is valid.

Then a test which shows it to be a wrong answer is invalid.
 
You're repeating yourself, 5jj. I've tried to explain that that's not the case. If you still don't get it, then never mind.
