Not in BrE, you're not. You're very likely to hear "I can see ...", but very few people would use the basic "I see".
In BrE you use "I see." to say that you understand it. And when you see something you say "I can see...". Is that right?

Americans say "I can see" also, but perhaps not as often as BrE speakers.
