"The room of Tom."

"The phone number of Tom."

Please check.

And what is the context?

And what is the context?

"Tom's friend went to the room of the Tom but the Tom wasn't there so he asked for the phone number of Tom."

Tom's friend went to the room of[STRIKE] the[/STRIKE] Tom but [STRIKE]the [/STRIKE]Tom wasn't there so he asked for the phone number of Tom

"Tom's room" and "Tom's phone number" is simpler and better.

A more natural version for me could be:

Tom's friend went to his room, but he wasn't there so he asked reception for his phone number.
