This level is lower and out of sight for most customers, so the products that don't make much money often go here.
(my bold, Kangxuan Junior High English, Book 5, page 104)
I was taught that the expressions "go here" and "come there" are semantically odd.
Is the expression "go here" acceptable to native speakers in the above quotation?

Yes, it's perfectly correct. In this sense, go means something like 'are placed'.

This is a very common sense of the verb go that you need to become familiar with.
 
I would think "go there" would be more natural.

Not when you are right at the spot and pointing at where the product is kept.
