Would you be kind enough to give me your considered opinion concerning the interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentences?

Yet do I fear thy nature;
It is too full of the milk of human kindness
To catch the nearest way; thou wouldst be great; (Shakespeare, “Lady Macbeth”)

the milk of human kindness = human weakness, sympathy
