According to some grammar books on indirect speech, we can change the day before yesterday to two days before and the day after tomorrow to in two days' time. I wonder if we can change it in sentence 3 to two days after in sentence 4. Could you please explained to me the differences between in two days' time and two days after?

  1. "I travelled to Arizona the day before yesterday", said Jenny.
  2. -> She said she had travelled to Arizona two days before.
  3. "I am travelling to Arizona the day after tomorrow", said Jenny.
  4. -> She said she was travelling to Arizona two days after.

I wonder if we can change it in sentence 3 to two days after asin sentence 4.
Yes.

Could you please explained to me the differences between in two days' time and two days after?
In indirect speech, use "two days after" because "in two days' time" can be ambiguous. It can refer either to the time of the original sentence or to the time of the one reporting it.

I don't like after in that sentence. I'd use later.

Two days after what?
