I hear people using this sentence every time but my teacher said you cannot send somebody somewhere. You can send a letter but not a person. When I checked the dictionary, it says one can send a child to school. What word do you use to say you take your child to school or drive him to school or walk with him to school everyday.

You certainly can send someone somewhere, your teacher is mistaken.

"I drop off my son at school every day." Does it give the meaning that I am driving him to school every day or that I am just accompanying him.

Is it correct to say
1) I fetch him from school every day.
2) I pick him up from school every day.

Yes, you can say that you "drop him off" whether you drive him or walk with him.
Both 1 and 2 are correct.
