Does “reach back” mean her husband tries to contact them in a ghost form?
“Beyond the grave” means “hell”. “From beyond the grave” means “from hell”. “Reach back from beyond the grave” means “he reaches the family from hell”.What else would "from beyond the grave" mean?
It does not necessarily mean "contact them". The meaning is broader. It means to have an influence on the events in their lives.Does “reach back” mean her husband tries to contact them in a ghost form?
No. "From beyond the grave" just means from the afterlife (if you believe in that kind of thing).“Beyond the grave” means “hell”. “From beyond the grave” means “from hell”. “Reach back from beyond the grave” means “he reaches the family from hell”.
It's quite grim from any moderate/humanist perspective. That's pretty grim, from a Christian perspective.
It said “beyond the grave” so I didn’t know IF he went up or down. Probably down and that would be hell.![]()
It doesn't necessarily mean either. It just means "after death". Different religions/belief systems have different ideas on what happens after death. Some involve the concept of heaven and hell, and some don't. Agnostics don't know if something happens or not. Atheists believe death is the end so there is nothing "beyond the grave".It said “beyond the grave” so I didn’t know he went up or down. Probably down and that would be hell.![]()
