plaster cast

Are these sentences correct on how to use "plaster cast"?
1. I have a plaster cast on / around my arm.
2. I'm wearing a plaster cast on / around my arm.
3. The doctor put a plaster cast on / around my arm.
4. My arm is on / in a plaster cast.
Please help me with the correct form(s) and the preposition. And if there are other ways to say similar sentences, please let me know.

Quite often (more often than not) we* omit 'cast' (although it's not wrong in any of your examples). 'The doctor put my arm in plaster.'

Note that when we omit "cast", we also omit the article and use "in plaster" as the description of the broken limb.

I have a plaster cast on my leg.
My leg is in plaster.
The doctor put my leg in plaster.
I currently have my leg in plaster.

The opposite seems to be true in the US. I would say that the doctor put my arm in a cast.

I think that's true for BrE as I would use:
My doctor put my arm in a cast.
My doctor put a cast on my arm.

I guess we use both then. In BrE, I'd say "in plaster" more frequently than "in a cast".
