"nor" to introduce another negative sentence

It looks like I'm someone who if asked to go shopping and buy one carton of milk, and if they have eggs, to get six; I would come back home with six cartons of milk.

I am not a teacher.

The American Heritage Dictionary has a long usage note about "nor". They see nothing wrong with your "nor", saying only that "or" is more common in that setting. I don't have dictionaries to sell, so I can come down on one side or the other, and I have come down on the side of simplicity.

Yes, "nor" sounds stilted in everyday speech...

But it's OK in Br E, though maybe a little florid. Informally, I might say "I don't know and I don't care', but in a letter of complaint 'I might write I do not know, nor do I care'. The King James' Bible words '...they reap not, neither do they spin...' (which are quoted fairly frequently) might influence me to say 'I know not, neither do I care' (but that's just me ;-))
