Are you talking about the word diaspora as it is used in Russian? Or in English?

In Russian. To be more accurate it is how I use it and other people whom I spoke to using this word. Though it is used very seldom. Those talks happened only after I travelled to Azerbaijan. Did I not travel I might have never uttered that word ever

Maybe in Russia they use it that way, but most English speakers are unfamiliar with that meaning and know "diaspora" to mean a scattering of people from their homeland (usually used to refer to the Jews).
