Job description: Work 10 hours a month with/for a $400 salary.

Are both okay?
 
Use "for" there.

(You work with your coworkers. You work for your pay.)

:)
 
The pay and other things come with the job but you work for a salary/money.

not a teacher

I wouldn't expect to see the word "work" in a job description. It usually says something like:

Hours: 10 per [calendar month]
Salary: $400 per calendar month
