I am wondering if my sentence sounds natural. Would you please correct my mistakes?

In today's society it has become almost impossible to sift out the news from propaganda and manipulation.

It's good. A couple of thoughts:

- I might say "world" instead of "society," because we have many societies.

- Since propaganda and manipulation are always part of the news, you might want to clarify that you mean real news, facts, truth, genuine information.

Charlie,
Do I need the article before "news" if I rephrase my sentence like this?

In today's world it has become almost impossible to sift out real news from propaganda and manipulation.

I much prefer the sentence with "real". The article before it is optional.

Yes. I agree. I like your new version, Bassim.
