Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"I am very emotional, but calm down, it’s nothing serious. Today the principal offered me to be in the slate of three for a job at the Ministry of Education."

Thanks,

Hello.

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"I am very excited [STRIKE]emotional,[/STRIKE] but calm! [STRIKE]down,[/STRIKE] It’s nothing bad. [STRIKE]serious.[/STRIKE] Today the principal offered to put me [STRIKE]to be in[/STRIKE] on the slate of three for a job at the Ministry of Education."

Thanks.

Consider using "on a shortlist of three" instead of "on the slate of three" in the above.

Note my corrections. A person can't offer someone to be something.

"The principal offered to me ..." is wrong.
