Hello, I have this sentece: "I added a task to clear the unused packages on Windows" but I'm not sure if it shouldn't be "in Windows"? Even though I think the preposition "on" would be more appropriate in this case. I'm talking about Windows, the operating system.

Hello,

I have wrote/found this the following sentence: "I added a task to clear the unused packages on Windows" but I'm not sure if it shouldn't be "in Windows", even though I think the preposition "on" would be more appropriate in this case. I'm talking about Windows, the operating system.
Note my changes above. Did you write the original sentence?

Yes, I wrote it myself.

Yes, I wrote it myself.
OK. Please make that clear in post #1 in future.

I don't really understand why you start by saying that you wonder if it shouldn't be "on Windows" but go on to say that you think "in Windows" is more appropriate. The first statement suggests you think "in Windows" is wrong and it should be "on Windows" but the second says you think "in Windows" is correct. Please clarify.

No, I said "on" would be more appropriate in my opinion, however I would like to know your opinion as well.
