If they are calling roll to take attendance, they'll use the format of first name, surname, such as "Mary Brown."
Those teachers who want to be nice to students do the same here. But many don't care. Calling somebody "Brown Mary" in other circumstances is considered rude in Poland.

Also, it rarely applies to teachers who had gotten to know their class already. Most of them always use the first name.
