Hello everybody!

Suppose that something has just been painted. What do I call such a thing: a freshly painted thing or a thing with wet paint on it?

Thank you.

A freshly-painted wall/canvas/house/thing.

However, if you have just painted something and you want to leave a sign warning other people not to touch it, the sign would say "Wet paint".

When I see that sign I always touch the paint to make sure they're not telling lies.

If you really want to have some fun, post a sign that says "DRY PAINT" and watch how many people touch the wall to verify it. (Not that I've ever done this when I was bored at work.....) :lilangel:
