Hi,

A - I felt my anger ebb away and a feeling of shame came over me.
B - I felt my anger ebbing away and a feeling of shame came over me.

Do they both sound idiomatic to you? If yes, could you please explain the difference?

Yes, the infinitive and continuous form of the verb makes no difference to me.
