Does the actor pronounce theatre like the-ETT-uh in desire at the theatre? at 0:50

I've listened from 0:47 and he doesn't say the word "theatre" at all. He says:

I was doing, um, Streetcar Named Desire at the ti... (he cuts off the end of the word "time") ... er/or ... is ... that was the, yeah, there he is.
