This is an entry from my diary. Please check it and correct any mistakes.

My mum often asks my dad not to do some things, but he keeps doing them. Today, I finally know why. My dad and brother sat by a table talking this morning. Suddenly, my brother saw some ants on the table and told my dad. My dad said, “There really are ants. I thought your mum is just saying.” He’s been thinking my mum is telling lies! My dad had poor vision so he may not see the ants but how come he thinks mum would cheat him for ants?

At the end of the first sentence I would add "anyway" or "anyhow".

Today, I finally found out why.

My dad and brother were singing a table talking this morning, and my brother saw some ants on the table.

I don't know why you want to use "suddenly" there.

He told my dad.

My dad said, "There really are ants. I thought your mum would just making that up."

My dad has poor vision, so maybe he didn't see the ants, but why does he he think Mum would lie to him?

Or:

My dad doesn't see very well ...
