I've been playing Pokemon Go for a year. I like this game because when the pokemons battle, they use their type's advantage rather than weapons. For example, grass-type pokemons can easily beat water type. I don't like to buy clothes and weapons because it seems that everyone ends up equipped with the same outfit.

What do you mean by "advantages"? Do you mean "abilities/talents"?

For example, fairy-type Pokemons do more damage to specific types of Pokemons - dark and fighting types.
