Hi,

could you please tell me what "designation" means at the end of a contract (at the signature page)? Does it mean "title" (like bachelor, master or doctor), "position in the company" (like manager, director etc.) or something else?

Example:

In witness whereof the parties ......

On behalf of the CLIENT:

Name: XXX
Signature:
Designation:

Thank you very much.

Without knowing what the contract relates to, I would agree - either the person's position in a company or their professional title, or possibly whether they are Trustee for something.
