In that superb movie, Sexy Beast, starring Ben Kingsley, one of the gangsters is called Gal. What forename is that short for?

It is a very good film; I enjoyed it, but, strangely, I can't remember the plot.

It's about retired London gangsters living in Spain. A murder victim's body is disposed of by being encased in concrete and buried under a new swimming pool. I think rhere was also something about returning briefly and reluctantly to England for one last bank job. It has been almost 50 years since I lived in England, and therefore I found the strong cockney accents challenging.
