What it means "apportioned according to desert"?

(For example: "goods and ills are tipically appiortioned according to desert" )

Thanks a lot

To me ills sounds unnatural, and the whole sentence strikes me as stilted and old-fashioned. It means that good things and bad things are normally shared out among a group of people according to what each person deserves. Also typically and apportioned are both spelled incorrectly.
