Which statement flows better?—

No one can live happily without an approval from the significant people in their lives.

No one can live happily unless they have some kind of approval from the significant people in their lives.
 
I would say "No one can live happily without the approval of the significant people in their lives.
 
You can also say: "No one can live happily without approval from the significant people in their lives."
