Hi, everyone. Could you please check if these two sentences are grammatically correct?


  1. My mother used to cook for me before I married my wife.
  2. My mother used to have cooked for me before I married my wife.
 
My mother used to cook for me before I got married. (Of course you married your wife. Who else?)
Don't use #2.
 
Just say "... before I got married".
