Hello everyone,

As I know the agent noun sometimes ends with er, for example the agent noun of work is worker, and the agent noun of help is helper.

I want to ask what is the agent noun of "allow"? Can I say allower?

Also, if I want to know the agent noun of any other word, is there any website that I can enter the word in it and it gives me the agent noun of the entered word?

Thank you.

Apparently, it is a word, but it's not common.

I don't know of such website, but you can always try www.onelook.com to see if a word exists in English.

Thank you so much for the answer, and thank you for providing that website.

I never knew what an "agent noun" was before.
