Requests in the classroom make me do it game

Ask someone to do something using a verb card from below. If they (really) do the right thing, you get one point each. You must use a different action each time, but you can reuse the verbs with different requests.

 

Requests in the classroom brainstorming game

Work in groups of three or four. Choose one of the verbs and take turns making different requests with it around the group. You both get one point if the next person does what you ask.

 

Requests in the classroom excuses game

Politely say no to as many classroom requests as you can, with a different reason each time, stopping when you can’t think of any more reasons and so have to say yes, when you repeat a reason, or when your reason isn’t good enough. If you are scoring, you then get one point for each excuse that your partner accepted.

 

Ask about any verbs you couldn’t use, etc.
