Personalised speaking practice of the language of personal preferences and country and nationality words with a fun lying game, including a coin game variation.
Lesson Plan Content:
Nationality words like and don’t like bluffing game
Make a personal statement using words from below. You can either say something that is true or use your imagination. Perhaps after asking for more details with questions like “Why do(n’t) you like it?” and “When did you try it?”, your partner will guess if what you said is:
- True (= You really do like it if you said you like it, or really don’t like it if you said you don’t like it)
- False (= Just your imagination, for example you don’t like when you said you like it, or you said you don’t like it but you like it, or if you don’t know if you like it or not)
Play the same game, but this time (secretly) flip a coin and:
- Say “I like…” if heads is top
- Say “I don’t like…” if tails comes up
