"You are getting old" and "you are becoming old".

"You are getting old" and "you are becoming old". Either is correct, right?

I find the first one more natural. The second one sounds rather artificial to me.

I often hear (and use) it in a joking manner, or as a default excuse for not seeing/hearing something obvious, even if age likely isn't a factor (i.e. saying it to somebody in their 20's or 30's).
 
What is the best way of saying it. Especially what can old be replaced old with?

You can replace old with older.
