Do my sentences sound natural?

Writer Rob Rebel refused to appear on the BBC again, as a matter of principle. The last time when he was on the show, he was accused by the commentariat of racism, sexism and a couple of more isms. When he got the invitation again, he told the producer he wasn't interested in offering his opinion to the TV audience while at the same time censoring himself. He valued the freedom of speech more than anything else and didn't want to make any compromises.

If you want to send readers heading for a dictionary, leave "commentariat" in there. If not, reword it.

I'd say a couple more or a couple of other, not a couple of more.

Now excuse me while I go look up commentariat!

I like the name Rob Rebel because it fits both parts- it's like Will Self.
