Hello everyone,

I'd like to know if this is a correct beginning for a letter confirming the cancellation of a booking:

Dear Mrs Smith:

With regard to your phone call this evening, I am writing to reconfirm the cancellation of your booking.

Many thanks

Too wordy.
This letter confirms the cancellation of your booking for 1-3 June.

You may want to add something about hoping you'll be able to meet their needs in the future.
