Hi,

The following sentence is from thefreedictionary.com:

The hasty preparation of this report will reflect on you.

According to its definition, it means "give evidence of one's qualities". I still don't understand what the sentence mean. Could you please help? My guess is "You prepared this report hastily and you'll suffer the bad consequences of being so hasty".
 
You'll look bad in the eyes of other people because you didn't prepare the report well enough.
