Whereas, or Where as?

if you were using the phrase whereas in a sentence. is it spelt, where as, or whereas
??
 
Hello Seie,

It might be either. Here are two examples:

1. Mr X is fat; whereas Mr Y is remarkably thin.
2. Ms Q walked into the garden, where, as usual, the neighbour's chinchilla was waiting to be fed.

But I suspect your question relates to sentences like #1, in which cases "whereas" is always one word.
