Hello,

Sometimes when you look at a lamp, or a light or a high-mast LED, or even the sun, you see several rays of light. For example, when you look at a lamp through a glass.

What is the verb to describe light shining in that way?

And what would the person seeing a lamp/the sun shining in that way say?

Thanks. But I think it's too technical and scientific. What do they use in literary books? For example when they want to mention the sun shining in that way and giving out several rays. Maybe this picture will help:
