What's worse can come up at the beginning of a sentence; here is my premature writing practice:

I was lost in a new city. What's worse, my wallet got stolen. That feeling was even worse than that of an ant running aimlessly on a burning hot pot.

Lovely lovely image!

Thanks, Anglika, for the reminder. Yes, even worse can also appear at the beginning of a sentence.

Amen to that image!

I got it. Thank you! :)
'What's worse' can be put only in the beginning, while 'even worse' can be put both in the beginning or in the middle of a sentance.
