Hi all, could you tell me the answer to this question?
Thanks in advance!

Think of = opinion
Think about = process or detailed opinion
;-)

Yes! And we could say this as well:

think of - have a thought - example - "I thought of you on my way to work."

think about - consider - example - "What should we do? I don't know. Let's think about it. (We'll consider the possiblities.)

:)

Still, the difference in terms of usage between the two phrasal verbs is unclear to me.. Could you add more light on this subject?

thanks,
Kiran

When we think of something/someone it is a passing thought, not deep and analytical. When we think about something it is a sustained period of reflection on that thing.

This is the best answer to the question above.
It's quite easy to understand the difference between 'Think of' and 'Think about'.
The point is the time they take!
'Think of' takes a few seconds while 'Think about' takes a minute or even longer.

PS: I'm so glad to learn English here! :-D
