Can I call this a mountain since it's not that tall? Or should I call it a hill?

1. flat-topped hill

2. flat-topped mountain

It depends on where it is. In the Southwest US, it's a mesa. Elsewhere, it might be a plateau or a flattop or flat-topped mountain.

Let's see what others say.

I definitely wouldn't think of it as a mountain. I don't see a hill, either. I'd like a view from a reverse angle to say more.

I only have these photos.

Perhaps a mount?

Names for that sort of geographical feature vary by region. For example, Californians call things that would be mountains in the eastern United States "hills".

Yup. I had a girlfriend from the Pacific Northwest who called the White Mountains and Green Mountains bumps.

Anyhow, Al, two words to look up are mesa and another I just remembered, butte.

Nice butte, Charlie. ;-)
