Heart of Algebra questions on the SAT Math Test focus on the mastery of linear equations, systems of linear equations, and linear functions. The ability to analyze and create linear equations, inequalities, and functions is essential for success in college and career, as is the ability to solve linear equations and systems fluently. Heart of Algebra questions vary significantly in form and appearance. They may be straightforward fluency exercises or pose challenges of strategy or understanding, such as interpreting the relationship between graphical and algebraic representations or solving as a process of reasoning. You’ll be required to demonstrate both procedural skill and a deep understanding of concepts.

There is no object. It's used as a noun.
